11/29/12-12/2/12 – Chicago Trip

I had a fantastic time in Chicago this month with my good friend David. This city has so much to offer. Whether it’s the best Chicago-style, deep dish pizza pie in town at Gino’s East, taking in all the architectural wonders the city has to offer, riding the ferris wheel at Navy Pier, or strolling through the Lincoln Park Zoo (which is free and open 365 days a year) you will stay busy for days! By the end of the day, we were both so exhausted that we had to take power naps in order to re-energize so that we could hit the town 😉 The night life is just as exciting!

We stayed at the Hostelling International Chicago hostel right outside downtown Chicago. We each payed $35/night and I was blown away with the quality of the stay. I would definitely go back to this place!

The weather was so great. Funny that it was actually snowing in Boston on that Saturday, but it was 63 degrees in Chicago…go figure. Anyway, I definitely recommend taking a long weekend vacation in Chicago, you certainly would not be disappointed.

11/4/12 – Van Campen Family

It was such a cold day, but the Van Campen’s were all team players and we got some great shots (especially of their two adorable children)! I love Lisa and Rob’s idea for the kids to hold ornaments as accessories, it really added a special touch to these portraits.
